Custom Printing

A Raster image is constructed of tiny colored squares called pixels. These raster files become higher quality the more pixels in the file. The best file formats for raster-based files include:
– .jpg files
– .gif files
– .tiff files
– .bmp files
– .psd files (Adobe Photoshop)
– Digital camera (Photographs)
– Scanned Images

Vector art is constructed using points on a grid. This means the size of the vector file is infinite without losing the quality of the art file. The best file formats for vector-based files include:
– .eps files
– .svg files
– .ai files (Adobe Illustrator)

When preparing your artwork please make sure it has the correct dimensions (this should match the size of the flag you order) and includes a 1/8″ of bleed on each side.

Please make sure your file upload has a resolution of at least 300 DPI in full size and uses CMYK colors to avoid drastic color changes during the process. Files such as JPG and PNG tend to have low resolution because they are raster-based files and may cause the flag to be of lower quality.

Sometimes files are too complex for our machines to print. Below are some problems that can be avoided.

Transparencies
If an image has a transparent effect, to keep images true to the original art, it is recommended to add a background color.

Gradients
If a vector file has gradients, it will be helpful if you provide the PMS or CMYK colors used.

A digital proof will be provided via email for your review and approval prior to production.
