Product Description
The spinning pole eagle is the replacement gold eagle for a spinning house flagpole, the tangle-free pole that lets the flag rotate around it in the wind. It is a polished metallic gold eagle, 4 IN, made for the top of a standard spinning pole, so a pole that lost its eagle to a storm or a move gets it back.
Spinning poles are the most common house-bracket pole sold today, and the eagle is the part that goes missing. Ours matches the gold of the original and fits the standard spinning pole top. For the poles, brackets, and fasteners that go with it, see our hardware and accessories.
Spinning Pole Eagle Features
- Polished metallic gold finish – matches the finish on standard spinning house poles.
- 4 IN eagle – the standard size for a residential spinning pole.
- Fits the standard spinning pole top – the replacement for the eagle the pole came with.
- Outdoor finish – made to live on a house pole in the weather.
- Replacement part – brings an older pole back to new.
Historical Background
The spinning flagpole solved the oldest problem of the house-bracket flag: the flag wrapping itself around the pole in a shifting wind. Rings on the pole let the flag turn with the wind instead of winding up, and the eagle on top became the signature of the design. Because the eagle is the smallest and highest part of the pole, it is the part that breaks or blows off, and a spinning pole eagle is the replacement that keeps the pole whole.
