The Nylon Signature American Flag is the step up from our standard nylon American flag. The stars are embroidered 25% larger than usual with polished white thread, so the union reads clearly from the street, and every stripe is hand-sewn with four rows of lock stitching in color-matched polyester thread. The 200 denier nylon is dyed with ColorFast dyes and treated to resist UV fading.

The flag finishes with a white poly/cotton duck heading and two #2 brass grommets, one at the top and one at the bottom, so it fits any standard outdoor pole with snap hooks. It comes in 3 FT x 5 FT for house brackets and residential poles and 4 FT x 6 FT for 20 FT to 25 FT poles, and it is made in the USA.

How is the Signature flag different from the standard nylon American flag?

The fabric is the same 200 denier nylon. The Signature flag has stars embroidered 25% larger in polished thread, four rows of lock stitching on every stripe instead of two, and back-stitch reinforcement at the fly end. It is built to look sharper and last longer.

Which size do I need?

Is nylon or polyester better for my location?

Nylon flies in lighter wind and dries faster, so it suits most homes and businesses. Polyester is heavier and wears longer in steady high wind, such as coastal and hilltop sites. If your flag frays at the fly end within a few months, switch to polyester.

Can I fly this flag at night?

Yes, if it is lit. The Flag Code calls for the flag to be illuminated when it is displayed after dark.

How do I fly it at half-staff?

Raise the flag briskly to the top of the pole first, then lower it slowly to half-staff. At the end of the day raise it to the top again before lowering it. Half-staff observances are set by presidential or gubernatorial proclamation, and we post the current ones on our site.

What do I do when the flag wears out?
