Product Description
Our white parade gloves are the gloves honor guards and color guards wear to carry a flag or a rifle without it slipping. They are white cotton with a rubberized palm, so the grip holds a polished pole in a warm hand, and they are cut long enough to cover the wrist under a uniform sleeve. Sizes S, M, L, and XL. Made in the USA.
Gloves are the detail that finishes a color guard. Matched white parade gloves on every member of the detail make the flag presentation look disciplined, and the grip palm means no one adjusts a hand mid-march. They are also worn by pallbearers, marching bands, drill teams, and event staff who handle presentation flags.

Historical Background
White gloves came to the parade ground from nineteenth-century military dress, where they marked ceremonial duty and made hand movements visible on the drill field. Honor guards, color guards, and casket teams kept them for the same reasons, and civic organizations, marching bands, and fraternal orders adopted them for processions and flag presentations. The Flag Code asks that the flag be handled with respect, and a clean pair of white gloves is the visible form of that respect.
The rubberized palm is a modern addition. Plain cotton gloves slip on a polished oak or aluminum pole, and a slipping pole is the one thing a color guard cannot afford.
