Product Description
The Air Force logo flag shows the modern Air Force symbol, the stylized wings and star, on an ultramarine blue field, and it is officially licensed by the United States Air Force. Ours is printed on UV-resistant 200 denier nylon, finished with a lined pole hem, Velcro tabs, and a 2.5 IN golden yellow rayon fringe, and made in the USA. Size 3 FT x 5 FT.
Where the seal flag is the formal ceremonial flag, the logo flag is the one Airmen recognize from uniforms, aircraft, and recruiting. It hangs in squadron bars, family rooms, ROTC halls, and offices, and it is a favorite retirement and graduation gift. For the formal seal version, see the Air Force flag with fringe.

Historical Background
The Air Force symbol was introduced in 2000 and made the official symbol of the service in 2004, the first new identity mark since the Air Force was established in 1947. Its upper wings recall the enlisted stripes and the Army Air Forces Hap Arnold wings; the lower half holds a sphere for the globe, a star for the service, and three diamonds for the core values of integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. The elements together form the letter A. The official description is on the Air Force website.
The Air Force logo flag came into use for morale, recruiting, and event display alongside the traditional seal flag, and it is now licensed for sale to the public.
