Product Description
This spinning flagpole with base stands on its own, so it works where there is no wall to hang a bracket: a lawn, a patio, a storefront sidewalk, or a lobby entrance. The 8 FT x 2 IN aluminum pole spins to keep the flag from wrapping when the wind changes, and the heavy-duty cast aluminum base holds it upright.
The set includes a 4 FT x 6 FT nylon US flag, a size that reads well on an 8 FT pole. It is meant for residential and light commercial use, and it is a lower-cost alternative to an in-ground pole for a business that wants the flag out front. Made in the USA.
Spinning Flagpole with Base Features
- Free-standing cast aluminum base – holds the 8 FT pole upright on a flat surface.
- 8 FT x 2 IN spinning aluminum pole – turns with the wind so the flag flies free instead of wrapping.
- 4 FT x 6 FT nylon US flag – sized to the pole, so the flag shows without dragging.
- No wall or ground mount needed – set it on a porch, patio, sidewalk, or lawn and move it when you need to.
- Residential and light commercial – for homes, offices, storefronts, and community buildings.
- Made in the USA – flag and set.
Historical Background
Flag display at homes and small businesses grew with the twentieth century, and with it came the need for poles that did not require digging a footing. Wall brackets answered that for houses with a porch or a column. A base-mounted pole answers it for everywhere else, and adding a spinning section solves the wrapping problem that a fixed pole in a base has just as badly as one on a wall.
The flag itself is the 50-star pattern set on July 4, 1960 after Hawaii became a state. The rules for its display are set out in the United States Flag Code.
